A high-efficient photo-thermoelectric coupling generator of cuprous iodide

Thermoelectric (TE) energy converters have attracted great interest due to their maintenance-free, long-life, and high-reliability properties. However, improving the output power of TE devices remains a huge challenge. In this work, high-efficient photo-TE coupling generator based on cuprous iodide (CuI) film is proposed increase devices. Here, CuI was prepared by successive ionic layer adsorption reaction method. The influence photovoltaic (PV) effect voltage investigated an analysis experimental results. results showed that had maximum increment 83.47% at 343 K compared sum PV voltages. in mainly because rather than effect, while photo-generated electrons also induce considerable change figure merit. Hence, strategy work might be potential approach further improve performance other materials.
